Terms of Use
Updated October 13, 2026
These terms are the deal between you and Space Pirate Labs when you use Blackbird. By using the app you agree to them.
Your account
You need to be at least 13 to use Blackbird. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you're responsible for what happens on your account. You can delete it at any time from You → Account.
Be a good card-mate
Don't harass, threaten or impersonate anyone. Don't use a name, face or note that's hateful, sexual or meant to offend. Don't spam, and don't post scores for rounds that didn't happen. We have no tolerance for abusive content or abusive players.
You can block anyone and report them from their profile. We review every report, usually within 24 hours, and we may remove content or suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.
On the course
Distances, maps, elevations, weather and hole layouts are best-effort and can be wrong. Courses change, and GPS isn't exact. Pay attention to where you are, who's around you and where you're throwing; Blackbird is no substitute for looking downrange. Follow each course's rules and the people who run it.
Live sharing shows friends (or everyone, if you choose) which course and hole you're on. Think about who you share with, and turn it off whenever you like.
What's yours
Your profile and rounds are yours. You give us permission to store them and show them to the people your settings allow, so the app can work. When you report a basket or tee position, you let us use it to improve the course map for everyone.
What's ours
Blackbird, its design and code belong to Space Pirate Labs. Map imagery and data belong to their providers, credited in the app. Don't copy, scrape or reverse-engineer the app or its course data.
Blackbird+
Some features may be part of a paid Blackbird+ subscription. If you subscribe, payment, renewal and refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play under their terms, and you can cancel in your store account settings.
No warranty
Blackbird is provided as is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or right about a distance. To the extent the law allows, Space Pirate Labs isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the app, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; if a change matters, we'll tell you in the app first. You can stop using Blackbird and delete your account at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of Iowa, USA.
